BEST NATURE: Boosting EU Biodiversity STrategy by empowering high education curricula and green skills for NATURE protection and restoration

In the scope of the Best Nature project, the consortium aims to craft and implement an innovative blended learning model for experiential education and training.

Our blended learning model will concentrate on biodiversity monitoring and governance within protected areas. The objective is to validate and fortify project activities by actively involving students across three academic levels engaged in both scientific and vocational training: education, research, and professional applications. Over the course of three years, a pioneering educational and training framework will undergo testing and validation across four iterations of blended courses (conducted online and in physical locations) in Italy, Austria, and Germany. Aligned with the project's structure, e-learning and cross-media modules will bolster the course delivery phase. The project's primary outcomes entail a validated and tested training model primed for replication and applicability in diverse university, governmental, and scientific settings. Additionally, an e-learning module, validated and replicable, will be disseminated widely. The project also aims to create a European community of educators, researchers and professionals aligned with the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030.

Project duration: November 2023 – October 2026.
